Sermon at Bloomington’s Defund Planned Parenthood Rally

Alex McNeilly (CNCF campus director) preached this sermon on Tuesday, July 28, at 12:50 p.m., outside the Planned Parenthood abortion mill in Bloomington, Ind.

In the aftermath of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, President Obama made this prophecy:
This is our first task—caring for our children. It’s our first job. If we don’t get that right, we don’t get anything right. That’s how, as a society, we will be judged.

And by that measure, can we truly say, as a nation, that we are meeting our obligations? Can we honestly say that we’re doing enough to keep our children—all of them—safe from harm?
Did you hear that?

“Caring for our children” is “our first task.…That’s how, as a society, we will be judged.”

What judgment was president Obama talking about when he said that we, as a society, will be judged?

Reading Doug Wilson's Father Hunger today (Thomas Nelson, 2012). Doug does an excellent job diagnosing our culture's rebellion against God's design for masculinity, and of opening our eyes to the resulting mess:
A popular complaint among women is the problem of getting a guy "to commit." Well, sister, you're not the only one. Western culture spent centuries teaching men to commit themselves to one woman for life, and in practice this has meant teaching him to commit to his offspring. It has also meant giving him an important role to play in the protection of those children, and in his provision for them. Roe [v. Wade] wiped that out. It doesn't matter if a man commits or not anymore; our legal system has determined that such commitments are irrelevant. (79)

White House Policy on Human Sacrifice

The US House of Representatives passed a bill (H.R. 7) yesterday which, according to Huffpost, "would prevent women from having their abortions covered by Medicaid; restrict a woman's ability to buy private insurance plans that include abortion coverage; and deny small businesses a tax credit, which they currently receive through the Affordable Care Act, if they include abortion care in their health insurance plans."
